Website Design And Development
WordPress SOS: BLISSorganic
Bliss Organic (formerly Salt and Wellness) is a wellness product business based in Rotterdam, NL. Started by Saleem and Shahbegum a little over a year ago, it was originally focussed on selling himalayan salt lamps and a small selection of himalayan bath salts.
At the beginning of 2017, they made the decision to rebrand, and to focus their business on the bath and body products, which is where their real passion lay. Shahbegum is a qualified health professional, and a skilled beauty therapist. She was developing amazing bath and body products, using her experience to develop wholesome, simple products that really do work. It seemed only natural that they would shift the focus of their business to highlight these amazing products.
Their plan was to build their own, but they were a little bit stuck. They realised they probably needed a little help.
They had already purchased a web-hosting package, installed WordPress, installed the theme they had chosen to use (Avada from ThemeFusion on ThemeForest) and had started trying to piece this site together.
I was delighted to step in and help them to finish their website on their very tight budget, and implement all the functionality they required.
I finished their website to their design specifications, using primarily the imagery and photos they had provided, using the theme they had chosen. I made sure that the site layout matched the sketches that they had drawn up. I added eCommerce functionality to their website, configured for the Netherlands, and I set up a security infrastructure on the back end, to keep the website safe, secure and properly backed-up.
I gave Saleem a one hour training session, so he could maintain and update the Bliss Organic website himself on a day-to-day basis. He has confidently taken this training in his stride, and continues to update his site to meet the changing needs of his business.
I was delighted to work with Saleem to clarify his understanding of his overall brand, to get his site working the way he needed it to, and to teach him, one-on-one, how to maintain his website – all on an EXTREMELY tight budget.
